Installation Guide

General installation overview. Follow the service manual for your exact engine and carburetor configuration. Fuel-system work requires the appropriate skills and precautions.

  1. Preparation and Component Verification: Shut off the engine, allow it to cool completely, and isolate the fuel supply and ignition system in a well-ventilated workspace away from ignition sources. Before disassembling the carburetor, compare the supplied gaskets, seals, and float against your service manual and existing carburetor version.
  2. Disassembly and Inspection: Document all fuel-line and linkage positions, then remove and disassemble the carburetor according to your engine service manual. Clean all casting passages and mating surfaces thoroughly without enlarging jets or calibrated orifices, and lay out the old parts to match against the new kit components.
  3. Reassembly and Leak Check: Install the matching gaskets, seals, and carburetor float, then verify float movement and reassemble the carburetor to the specifications in your service manual. Reinstall the carburetor, prime the fuel system to inspect for any fuel leaks, and test engine operation only with proper cooling water supplied; stop immediately if any fuel leak or abnormal operation occurs.
