  1. Verify Parts & Prepare Safely: Confirm your engine model, horsepower, model year, and OEM reference number against the supplied carburetor gaskets, seals, and float and arm assembly before disassembly. Shut off the engine, allow it to cool completely, isolate the fuel supply and ignition system according to your service manual, and work in a well-ventilated area away from ignition sources.
  2. Disassemble & Match Components: Record the routing of fuel lines and linkages before removing and disassembling the carburetor per the service manual. Clean the carburetor passages as specified by the manufacturer, compare each removed gasket, seal, and float component side-by-side with the supplied parts, and replace only the matching items included in the kit.
  3. Reassemble, Inspect & Test: Install the new float and arm assembly, gaskets, and seals following the procedures and float checks in your engine service manual. Reinstall the carburetor, reconnect linkages and fuel lines, prime the fuel system to check carefully for any fuel leaks or binding before starting, and test run the outboard only with a proper cooling water supply. Stop immediately if any leak or abnormal operation occurs.
