1. Shut off the engine, allow it to cool completely, isolate the fuel supply and ignition system as specified in your service manual, and work in a well-ventilated area away from any ignition sources.
2. Document Linkages & Remove the Existing Unit: Note or photograph the routing and orientation of all fuel lines, vent hoses, choke linkages, and throttle connections before disassembly.
